MMD / PMX Editor Facial expression (SOLVED!!!)

I've done the same both in PMXe English (2.1.9) and PMXe Japanese (2.2.2) and got the same issue.

What am I doing wrong??

STEP 1
Opened my model in PMX Editor and I chosed the facial/morphs tab



STEP 2
I want to make a new expression starting from a "diamond mouth" one, to simulate che "ch" (pronounced as in "cheese") sound.
But I want to mantain the original one, so i first DUPLICATE the existing expression

note: same issue also creating a new expression from scratch or editing and existing one without duplicating it first.
Both in english and japanese version.




STEP 3
This is my new "not edited" copy of the morph.
Note that PMXe automatically assigns the pink panel corresponding to mouth.
I just have renamed the morph as a diamond 2





STEP 4
Go edit the facial expression, as in your images (changed only the english description label on the drop menu)





STEP 5
A NEW mirrored window is opened, as expected. On the left the work area, on the right the preview area.
Note that the panel on the left side has the right morph name and classification set yet.





STEP 6
Zoomed in. On the left I have the expression I'm working on.
On the right the simple face with no espression.





STEP 7
I leave selected the two materials only I want to be affected, Face and Lips materials.
And set the textured + vertex mode view (wired+P).
Then I started moving vertices to get my final expression....




STEP 8
Let's say I'm done, for now. This is just a try, doesn't matter this is not the real expression I wanted.
Just to show you where is the trouble. I just enlarged the lips, up and down.

Now, if i click on the update button I should "save" the new morph, is it right?
And moving the sliding control left-right I should see the new morph working on the preview area on the right side of the screen, right?




But... no way. Look at...


STEP 9
An alert informs me that I have doing nothing on the model!!!
This occurs also in PMXe Japanese.
This occurs also when creating a NEW expression from scratch.




STEP 10
Infact when I try to move left/right the slide control, I see no effect on the preview. Her mouth simply stay closed




What am I doing wrong???
