Oh My God, this is an enormous schwanzstuck!

This post is concerning the MMD-Battlestage group: MMD-BattleStage

Ok, I'm posting this issue because I've received some complains from some MMD-Battlestage group users and watchers, about what we could call an "excess" of explicit/mature/r18 contents in the "Art of OTHER" gallery. Actually I've been forced to introduce a new rule on the group's home, concerning the "Art of OTHER" gallery.

I'm persuaded this wasn't necessary, but actually it seems that, yes, it's necessary. I was persuaded that our simple rules were of easy understanding: even if the name "Art of OTHER" would cover any kind of content, I'd like to emphasize I always asked to keep in mind the group's topic.
"Art of OTHER" doesn't make difference. No matter if you post Len & Rin harvesting for flowers in a green sunny field, if you post a render with Batman and Robin having sex, or if you post a render of Barbie's boobs. By theirselves, none of these contents are related to the group topic, which means you shouldn't submit them on the group. Yes, you guessed it: neither in the "Art of OTHER" gallery.

Of course I've ever used a fair "tolerance": let me be explicit, I hate censorship and too restrictive moderation behaviours, so I prefer, in general, to not harass group's users when they post something "not completely" matching the group's topic. But it seems this has authorized in considering the "Art of OTHER" gallery a kind of "Put here anything you want".
And of course it's not that way.

Really, I see no point in discussing when an artwork should be considered a mature one. I'm absolutely not interested in publishing a detailed list of "allowed mature contents" and "forbidden mature contents". This kind of discussions often degenerates in flames, or in psychedelic workarounds, similar to Howard Hugues's audution at the censorship commitee (Movie quote here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxQNAf… ).

Nevermind. I definitely refuse to take a caliber and go measuring "mammary exposition" or prominent penis represented in your artworks. Simply forget of it. Just try to respect the group topic, ok?

I'm persuaded you can understand by yourself when an artwork has (or not) a feel with the group's topic.

Consider that in "western" (i.e. all the world but Japanese islands) MMD communities most of users are young, often VERY young. They don't use MMD for "mature content" production. It's still questionable the use WE (MMD-Battlestage group's fans) do with MMD, to produce artworks someway related to kinds of violence, but we're still within an almost "for all ages" use.

Even I don't care about it for myself, I don't like any child/teen user going here to find useable contents, open a gallery of ours and find "an enormous schwanzstuck" dangling in front of their noses, or a grotesque pair of boobs bouncing out the screen.
No moral issue here. No "decency" issue here. No moral condemnations here.
Do you want to post them? Ok, post them. But please post them strictly following these rules by now:

1) Mature artworks MUST be anyway related to the group's topic.
2) Mature artworks MUST match DA rules and MUST be properly marked as containing mature contents
3) Mature contents MUST be posted ONLY in the "Explicitly R18 Artworks" gallery

All mature contents not posted in the proper gallery (don't use the "Featured" or the "Art of OTHER" ones), or not matching these simple rules, will be removed.

Also, I ask for the same reason to stop posting artworks having really no relationship with the group focus (do you remember when I was talking about "Len & Rin harvesting for flowers"? That's it).

F.A.Q.

As some friends have asked me privately, I'm publishing a quick list of FAQs to help you deciding IF to submit artworks on this group or not, and where.

Can I submit mature contents?
Yes, since you respect the 3 new rules about them and post them in the proper gallery

Can I submit S&M, FemDom, FaceSit, BB artworks?
Consider the general interest of the group. If your artwork has at least a little relationship with the group focus (battles, fights, combat, and so on), yes, you can. Otherwise, consider to post it over any MMD (or not MMD related) group better focused on the topic you are interested in. Let me say I have no kind of moral censorship about any of these "fantasies", I'm just interested in keeping the group's focus clear.
If you still find a good reason to post it here, please post it in the mature contents related gallery.

I've just made a clip where Meiko fires a stunning tae kwon do kick right in Kaito's balls and leaves him groaning and KOed on the ground. Should I post it the the "Art of freehand" gallery or in the "Explicitly R18 Artworks" one?
Well actually you could post it in both galleries. You probably know yet what is the best. Try asking yourself if that kick is part of a fight or if it's a "standalone" clip made just to show a sexy girl hardly kicking a boy in the nuts. In the first case your best choice is the "Art of freehands" gallery, in the second one it's probably the other gallery.

What amount of genitals/boobs/nipples can be shown when posting a model preview?
Please. Really, don't ask me for this. What should I do, taking measures of the amount of centimeters of naked skin you are showing? Looking at breast diameters? Looking how much of the nipples are shown or hidden? Use your own brain, please. If you distribute models that can be naked/undressed you best choice is to make "teen-safe" previews and adding a link to a youtube preview video where you show all the model's features, possibly warning users that the video contains also the naked version.
I could just say, as a generally accepted convention, that if you freely show genitals, a naked ass, boobs... the preview should be marked as "mature content" from the beginning, when you first upload it on Deviantart. Many MMD modellers and editors use to put a blank/black strip to cover the parts, in these cases.

Hope this is helpful, and sorry for having been forced to publish a note of these.

Hopefully, if a contributor places something inappropriately, you'd let them know personally?  I mean, I've contributed some R-18 stuff, but not pics.  It doesn't look like you're talking to me.  But do you want me to put, for example, that uterus model in R-18 artworks?  Was the correct of me to put it in Other Resources?  Or should I not have submitted it to the group at all?  I expect to make more r-18 focused models/effects/resources in the future.
